I know everybody says they never won anything, but in my case it was really true. I didn’t play little league or any of those other sports where everyone got a cheap, plastic trophy just for showing up. Well, that all changed tonight. My work has decided to start a new tradition of giving out Corporate Awards. We had a great little catered ceremony with all of the employees in attendance. It was a lot of fun. What made it even more fun is that I won one of the corporate awards! I won the Most Reliable award for not missing any unexpected time away from work. I received a really nice crystal award. It’s going to look great on my desk! Even if I hadn’t won, I would have a had a lot of fun. It is really nice that my company is taking time to recognize the contributions of the employees. I hope I win again next year!
